Podjelje is a small village, called the balcony of Bohinj, and is divided in Zgornje (upper) and Spodnje (lower) Podjelje. You can access this village on the road that runs from the village of Jereka and continues to the Pokljuka plateau. A typical eco-farm with excellent food and view is available for you in the village of Podjelje.
You can also see the St Martin’s Subsidiary Church, which was in its wooden form built at the end of the 19th century. It was renovated in 1988. A special feature of this church is the baroque statue of St Martin on a horse. The church can be viewed upon prior agreement with the parish in Srednja vas.
Local people make traditional mohant and cheese, as well as other dairy products.
